We had some breakfast together and its nap time again. Last night was a grind....vital checks...monitors going off...carrie has an insatiable itch....and the occasional empty IV. That being said we got about 4 broken hours of sleep total. Nico rests like an angel. God bless!

First morning
The sun is shining a little and there is a nice rainbow outside our window.

We had some breakfast together and its nap time again. Last night was a grind....vital checks...monitors going off...carrie has an insatiable itch....and the occasional empty IV. That being said we got about 4 broken hours of sleep total. Nico rests like an angel. God bless!

Best and worst
So little Nico (pretty happy with Nickolas)is sleeping. He is the best! Carrie of course is also a champ! She just rolls with it....jello, chix broth, popsicles....whatever...just keep her close to her baby. The best moments are with my wife and new baby boy!
I gotta give u the worst too...
Room...horrible! Its more like a glove compartment. TV, lame-o. There are two speakers buried in the bed that carrie sleeps in. Really? Baby crib is below par. Way too tall for me..very hard to change baby. The chair is like a very used doctors office chair. You know the one.
best is no fun without worst right? Seriously, we r happy and healthy. Thank you to our family and friends and colleagues for such loving support!
Waiting game...
Baby boy is getting a bath. They won't let him out of the nursery until his breathing slows down a bit. He's healthy, they're just being safe. Carrie is chomping to c him. more pics to come.
The drugs are here.
The anesthesiologist is here to administer the 'spinal'. She says its different from an epidural. Carrie is so ready to have this baby. Bed is uncomfortable and this wing of the hospital is freezing. Here we go...
Arrival
It was a stormy start but we arrived at the hospital @ 9:15, only a few minutes late. Carrie is a little nervous but she is thinking positive thoughts. The nurses are prepping her for surgery. She chuckles as they insert the IV. That is my girl, tough as nails! We will have our new boy very shortly. Stay tuned......
